Bhatkal: Masked men barge into police quarters; rob valuables worth Rs 2 lakhs

Bhatkal: In a shocking incident, robbers targetted a house in police quarters on Sagar road here on Friday midnight and decamped with Rs 2 lakh worth of valuables from the house.
According to the complaint filed by Sangamesha Dharigonda at the Bhatkal Town police station, two masked men barged into the house at around 12:45 AM on Saturday. They wielded the knife and threatened the members of the household to hand over the valuables.
After ransacking the house, they fled with jewellery worth Rs 2 lakhs, the complaint said.
Meanwhile, police have registered the case and started investigating the crime scene. Forensic experts and sniffer dogs were called in to trace the culprits behind the robbery.
