Belthangady: Lokayukta officials pay a surprise visit to the Belthangady Taluk hospital on Monday, June 6.
There have been several allegations against the hospital administration claiming that doctors there do not reach the hospital on time and do not attend to the patients properly. Also, it is alleged that no hygiene is being maintained at the hospital.
The officials instructed the authorities concerned to address the grievances of the patients and their attendants in the hospital.
Acting on complaints filed by the locals alleging non-payment of Rs 5,000 allowance under the Mathrushree scheme, the Lokayukta officials visited the Child development project officer in the Taluk and urged him to take necessary action.
Lokayukta SP Kumaraswamy, DySP Kalavathi and others were present.
