Mangaluru: The civil court here on Monday posted the Malali Masjid case for the next hearing on June 9.

Also, a memo was filed by plaintiff Dhananjaya urging the court to consider his Interlocutory Application seeking the appointment of a court commissioner to survey the masjid at Malali. However, it was dismissed by the court.

III Additional Civil Judge and JMFC H. Sujatha said that before deciding appointment of a court commissioner to survey the masjid, the court will decide the maintainability of a suit seeking a permanent injunction restraining the Malali Jumma Masjid authorities from dismantling the old tiled structure of the masjid said to be resembling a temple.

On Monday, the court heard the advocate for the masjid and adjourned the matter to June 9 to hear the petitioner.
