Mangaluru: Man arrested for sexually harassing woman in bus

Mangaluru: The city police arrested a 24-year-old man for sexually harassing a woman on a bus.

The arrested is identified as Mohammed Musthafa. He owns a footwear showroom in Bengaluru.

The incident took place while the victim was traveling to Mangaluru from Bengaluru. Musthafa who was traveling on the same bus sexually assaulted the woman, and threatened her and co-passengers not to file a case against him.

However, the victim filed a case against Musthafa at the Kankanady police station. Based on her complaint the police successfully nabbed him.

Meanwhile, Mangaluru police commissioner Shashi Kumar said, “If anyone faces such harassment please file a case immediately without any fear.”
