Humnabad: Pamphlets with “Arrest Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal” written on them with their photographs were found pasted on the road in Humnabad on June 13.

A group of youth is said to have pasted these for the derogatory remarks made about Prophet Mohammad by the suspended BJP functionary during a TV news debate program. The posters were posted on the road surface as an insult to both Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, sources said.

Meanwhile, some Hindu youth took exception to the act and demanded their removal.

Police swung into action before anything untoward occurred and tried to control the situation by removing the posters pasted on the road. DySP Somalinga Kumbara, traffic PSI Basavaraja visited the spot and took stock of the situation.

However, the situation in the city remained tense on Monday.
