As a ‘permanent solution,’ a man who was bored of replacing his worn-out footwear had his favourite ‘Nike’ trainers tattooed onto his feet.

In order to save money, the man went to Dean Gunther, a South African tattoo artist.

The 34-year-old, who owns Manchester’s DG Tattoo Art, previously went viral after tattooing a realistic-looking six-pack on a man’s stomach.

In around ten hours, he drew some Nike trainers onto his client’s feet. Gunther spent two hours drawing the outlines and around eight hours colouring it.

“I wanted to create the illusion that the person is wearing shoes, even though he’s bare feet. It will definitely make you look twice. Drawing the tattoo on my free hand was the most challenging part. I had to make sure everything flows with the contours of the body. A stencil would not work in this case, so it’s all freehand,” Gunther told NeedToKnow.

The client was bored of paying for new shoes, so he opted to get his favorite pair of Nikes tattooed on him, according to the tattoo artist.

Guther uploaded the Nike video to TikTok and had over 10,000 views in a short period of time.

The tattoo drew varied comments from online users.

A Columbian influencer got a QR code tattooed on the back of his neck last year that was supposed to open his Instagram feed. However, he quickly conceded that the code was ineffective.

On February 15, Mauricio Gomez, also known as La Liendra, produced a video demonstrating how the QR code works.
