Belagavi: The personal assistant of a candidate entered the counting center of the North-West graduates and teachers constituency here on June 15, inviting the ire of the Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil.

Suresh, the PA of BJP candidate Hanmantha Nirani, gained entry to the counting center at the Jyothi College on Club Road. Agents of the JDS candidates raised objections to him entering the center without the required identification documents.

The DC who got to know of the development not only lambasted Suresh but also got him thrown out of the counting center.

Later, Election Officer Aditya Amlan Biswas took the security personnel to task for allowing persons without IDs to enter the counting center.
