Pro-Kannada outfits silent on insult to state flag?

Amid the textbook controversy in Karnataka, an incident of the Kannada flag being insulted was reported during the padayatra taken out demanding action against Rohith Chakrathirtha for his remarks on poet laureate Kuvempu.
Former minister Kimmane Ratnakar led the padayatra from Kupalli to Thirthahalli here on Wednesday. However, it is now alleged that the activists disgraced the Kannada flag during the rally.
Questions are also being raised on why pro-Kannada outfits haven’t spoken against the insult to the Kannada flag.
Earlier in June, District Kannada Sahitya Parishad suspended textbook review committee chairman Rohith Chakratirtha on the allegations that he insulted Kuvempu and the state anthem (Naadageethe) written by him.
