A differently-abled boy from Bantwal who won then state education minister Suresh Kumar praise after a photo of him writing the SSLC exams with his toes went viral, has now cleared his PUC exams with flying colours.
Kumar had praised the highly-spirited boy in a tweet and had even visited his house, on July 10 after the examinations were over.
Kaushik Acharya is pursuing his education through Alva’s College and his education is being sponsored by the Alva’s Education Foundation. Kaushik did not let his father’s demise, barely six months ago become a deterrent, and studied hard scoring 524 marks out of 600 in the recently announced PUC results. He now plans to complete his graduation through Alva’s college.
Dr. Mohan Alva, founder of Alva’s institution has praised Kaushik for his feat.
Kaushik who does all his tasks independently excels in both academic and other extracurricular activities and has never let his disability come in the way of his dreams. He had secured 85 percent marks in his SSLC exams.
