Panaji: Heavy rains on Friday triggered landslides on the national highway connecting IDC Verna to Loutolim, disrupting vehicular traffic for some time.
Goa has been witnessing heavy rains for the past two days, causing a massive landslide on the road connecting IDC Verna to Loutolim. Fortunately, none were hurt in the incident.
The fire brigade personnel, led by fire brigade officer Dilip Bicholkar, rushed to the spot and carried out an operation for several hours to clear the mud and stones lying on the road.
The steel hill next to the road remains precarious due to the loosening of soil by further rains, triggering another landslide
