Mangaluru: Shiradi ghat road that connects Bengaluru-Mangaluru is badly damaged and this has caused inconvenience to the industry and trade as it takes longer to reach the capital.
A stretch from Maranahalli to Sakleshpur NH 75 is totally destroyed. The company which took up the tender for the Shiradi Ghat repair work has now requested Dakshina Kannada and Hassan district administration to close the road for repair work for at least four months.
Dakshina Kannada DC Dr KV Rajendra speaking on the issue informed that roads will not be closed for time being. However, a decision in this regard will be taken after conducting a survey and holding a meeting with the officials.
