VItla: Gang hacks woman to death in broad daylight

‎Vitla:‎‎ A gang attacked and killed a woman in broad daylight at Neralakatte near Mani here on Monday June 27.

Shakuntala (35), a resident of Devi Nagar in Ananthady was brutally hacked to death by a gang of men, sources said.

At the time of the attack, the victim was on her way to Mani from Puttur on a two-wheeler. The group that cam on an auto rickshaw, waylaid her vehicle, and hacked her with deadly weapons, sources added.

Severely injured Shakuntala was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.

Police have reached the crime spot and are collecting information.
