B’luru: Hoysala cops rescue suicidal student

Timely intervention by police saved the life of a 24-year-old youth who allegedly tried to end his life by slashing his wrist.
The victim, a native of Pune is pursuing a food technology course at an university on Kanakapura Road in South Bengaluru and resided in a paying guest accommodation in the city.
On Monday evening, he messaged one of his friends about his suicidal thoughts. The friend immediately called the police control room and informed them that his friend was contemplating suicide.
An alert was sent to the nearest Hoysala patrolling vehicle who acted swiftly and reached his place to find that the victim had cut his wrist on the left hand and was bleeding.
An ambulance was summoned and he was shifted to a hospital for treatment. He is reportedly out of danger.
