New Delhi: Barely 24 hours after the Udaipur horror, expelled BJP spokesperson, Naveen Kumar Jindal has claimed to have received emails with death threats to him and his family.

Taking to Twitter, Jindal tagged the Delhi Police stating, “Today morning at around 6:43 I have received three emails, threatening me and my family of being beheaded, with a video attached of Udaipur incident where brother Kanaiahya Lal is seen being beheaded. I have informed the PCR about the same.”

Jindal also attached screenshots of abusive threatening statements.

According to media reports, Jindal has alleged that a person named Akbar Alam had threatened him and his family with meeting the same fate as the Udaipur tailor. The screenshots of the emails appended with the tweet read: “Naveen Kumar terrorist (continuing with an abuse) I’ll cut your head in the same way”.

As per the sources, the Delhi Police spokesperson has confirmed ascertaining the situation according to the complaint received and would soon register a case, followed by action.

Earlier, former BJP spokespersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal’s comments about Prophet Mohammed had stoked a massive controversy, triggering protests and riots in certain parts of the country and abroad.  Following this, the BJP high-command had suspended them from their positions and also expelled them from the party.
