Mumbai: In the recent development of “Maha Politics”, the special session which was scheduled today by has been called off by the Maharashtra Assembly Secretary Rajendra Bhagwat.
Earlier, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had ordered a special Assembly session and floor test. The Trust Vote was scheduled against the Maha Vikas Agadi (MVA) government. The MVA then knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court, challenging the orders of the Governor. In its order, the SC had refused to stay the floor test process and upheld Governor’s order. In the wake of this, late in the evening, Uddhav Thackeray took to social media and announced his resignation as the CM. Later, at midnight, he officially drove to the Raj Bhavan and handed over his resignation letters to the Governor.
Meanwhile, the Maharastra Assembly Secretary has informed all the MLAs that there was no need for a floor test and that the special session was postponed. The information was passed on as per the Governor’s order.
