Sheetal Shetty’s directorial debut “Window Seat” releases today. The songs and trailer of the film are already a hit. The team behind the murder mystery film, produced by Jack Manju, is confident that moviegoers will like the film too.

Giving a snapshot of the movie, director Sheetal Shetty said, “The film revolves around a wild and unexpected journey of the protagonist, who is a daily commuter on a train between Talaguppa and Sagar. The story tells the events that change his life.”

Further, she added, “We have made the film differently so that the audience does not feel bored.” She also appreciated the support from all the artistes and technicians, as a first-time director.

Actress Amrita Iyengar said she was surprised that Sheetal chose to do a murder-mystery film.  “I thought women directors like to make movies on drama and poetic stories. I was quite surprised when I found out that the film was a murder mystery,” she added.

Amrita said she drew inspiration from her mother for her role as a lady boss. “Sheetal call me up and said I should take up the role of lady boss who is a strong and self-confident woman. My mother was the first person to come to my mind. My mother is also very self-confident, and so I like the role,” she said.

The movie features Nirup Bhandari, Sanjana Anand, Amrutha Iyengar, P. Ravi Shankar, Lekha Naidu and Madhusudhan Rao in prominent roles.
