Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has come down heavily on the PSI Recruitment Scam by terming it to be a ‘act of terror’.
On receiving the documents of investigation related to the accused and arrested ADGP Amrit Paul in the scam in a sealed cover, one-bench judge led by Justice H P Sandesh has made some major observations.
The court has said that everybody associated with the case must be subjected to legal action. In its observation, the court said that the scam had jeopardized society.
“The main motto of the court is to provide justice to the victims and punish the culprits. How much ever influential might be the person, he/she shall not be able to escape clutches of law”, said Justice H P Sandesh.
“Around 50,000 candidates had written the exam. All of them are victims of the scam. There’s a major role of middlemen”, said Justice H P Sandesh.
Meanwhile, the court has directed the CID to submit a detailed report of the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL), corrected OMR sheets, and how the scam was carried out within seven days.
The court has adjourned the hearing till July 14.
It can be noted that the bail application hearing of accused C N Shashidhar and others was scheduled for hearing on Thursday.
