Days after videos of the three suspects in the Harsha murder case, speaking to their families and friends went viral on social media the police have filed FIR against 11 people.
The pictures purportedly showed the accused in the Bajrang Dal activist Harsha murder case getting special privileges in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. Soon after, Harsha’s family expressed their displeasure and said that they have been betrayed by the system.
Facing flak, the prison authorities had conducted surprise inspections to know how the accused got hold of the mobile devices.
Bajrang Dal member Harsha (28) was stabbed to death on February 20 due to his involvement in ‘Gau Raksha’ related activities.
The case was initially registered by Doddapete police station of Shivamogga district on February 21 and later re-registered by the NIA on March 23 after the agency took over the investigation.
Ten people have so far been arrested and charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the case.
