Chikkamagaluru DC declares 2-day holiday to schools, colleges

Koratagiri: With heavy rains continuing to disrupt public life in Chikkamagaluru district, the district administration has declared a two-day holiday for schools and colleges of six taluks.

Deputy Commissioner K N Ramesh on Sunday issued a circular stating that on July 11 and 12 schools and colleges of Chikkamagaluru, Mudigere, Kalasa, Koppa, N R Pura, and Sringeri taluks would be shut. The holiday has been declared foreseeing the weather condition as per the weather department reports.

Meanwhile, landslide incidents were reported from several hilly areas of the district.
