Car catches fire on Charmadi Ghat

A car suddenly caught fire near Annappa Swamy Temple on the Charmadi Ghat.

The mishap took place at around midnight on July 11. At the time, a family from Jokatte was moving towards Bengaluru in the car.

There were no reports of injuries to car passengers. However, the car suffered extensive damage.

The exact cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Banakal police visited the spot and have taken up the investigation.
