Bajrang Dal activist attacked by assailants, suffers injuries

Shivamogga: Bajrang Dal activist and local BJP leader Kantharaju (27) has been physically assaulted with weapons.

As per the reports, the incident that took place on Monday night, Kantharaju is said to have come out of the house located in the first cross of Rajiv Gandhi Layout. While he stepped out of the house, he was attacked by the assailants with a bat and matchet.

At this point in time, Kantharaju has grabbed the matchet from the hands of the assailants. Later, the family members rushed to help him during which the assailants escaped.

Due to the attack, he has suffered injuries on his right hand for which he is being treated in the McGann Hospital.

Meanwhile, the family members are suspecting the assailants to be from another religion.

A case has been registered in the Kote Police Station.
