Kushtagi: In a rather bizarre incident, the driver of a bus forgot to ensure that the conductor had boarded the bus before leaving the bus stop.

The Kushtagi-bound bus with KA-37 F-0678 registration number departed from Koppal station at 1 pm. Nearly 5 km into the journey, the bus passengers enquired about the conductor as no one came forth to issue tickets. It was then that the bus driver realised that he had left behind the conductor at Koppal bus stop.

He stopped the bus near Ojanahalli cross for the conductor to arrive. When passengers onboard the bus started mocking the bus driver for his carelessness, the latter defended himself stating that the conductor should have boarded the bus on time.

Meanwhile, the conductor arrived in another vehicle whereafter the bus proceeded on its journey.
