Trio including married couple arrested from M’luru on murder charges

Mangaluru: Three people including a married couple, who were wanted in a murder case, were arrested from Mangaluru.

The arrested are Vishal Prajapathi (25), Rubi Prajapathi (23), and Gunjadevi, all hailing from Uttar Pradesh.

Case details:

Omnath Singh (45) hailing from Bihar was killed by Vishal and Rubi at his house in the presence of the deceased’s wife Gunjadevi. Reportedly Omanth had an extramarital affair with Rubi and had made a video of their private moments.

He later used it to blackmail Rubi. Vishal who came to know of the affair and the subsequent blackmail got furious and along with Rubi killed Omnath.

They later stuffed his body in a gunny bag and disposed of the mortal remains in a gutter, and fled from Bengaluru.

The police who took up the case arrested the trio from Mangaluru, where they were hiding.
