CM Bommai assures of fulfilling requests put forth by Billava community

Kaup: The Billava community leaders met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday and handed over a letter requesting to fulfill several demands of the community.
Billava community representatives under the leadership of Katpady Sri Vishwanath Kshetra president B N Shankar Poojary submitted the letter requesting the establishment of Brahmashri Narayana Guru Development Corporation Limited, the inclusion of the Billava community under Category-1 of the caste list, interest-free loans to Billava community women self-help groups, relief to toddy tappers’ families who die accidental deaths and monthly salary to the priests of Garadi.
After listening to the community leaders, CM Bommai assured of fulfilling all the requests soon.
Later, he asked the community leaders to come to Bengaluru to have a detailed discussion on the various requests.
State Social and Backward Welfare Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, legislators Raghupati Bhat, Sukumar Shetty, former minister Pramod Madhwaraj and others were present.
