CM orders officials to sanction Rs. 500 cr towards rain-affected areas

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held a meeting in a private hotel at Devanahalli with Deputy Commissioners of the rain-affected districts and officials of concerned departments, here on Friday.
Through video conferencing, CM Bommai assessed the information provided by the DCs and officials. He then ordered to sanction of Rs 500 crores in total towards reinstating infrastructural facilities in the rain-affected districts.
Earlier, CM Bommai had visited several rain-affected districts and assessed the situation. He had collected information from the DCs and officials about the damages caused. He had also directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for the distressed people. Directions on repairing roads, electric lines, and other basic infrastructural facilities were also given.
Meanwhile, State Revenue Minister R Ashok, Principal Secretary to CM Manjunath Prasad, and other officials were present during the meet.
