Nethravathi Express: Distressed passengers urge train to stop at Kundapur

Kundapur: The Nethravathi (Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai) Express train that had suspended halting at the Kundapur Railway Station during the Covid-19 pandemic period, has still not resumed.

As per the reports, the people travelling from Kundapur to Mumbai and vice versa are in distress due to the rail service not resuming at the station. There are a large number of passengers who board this train from the Kundapur Railway Station.

Currently, only passenger trains to Goa are functional from the railway station, leaving people with no option to board a train to Mumbai on the given day. Hence, the Kundapura Railway Passengers’ Welfare Committee on behalf of passengers has urged the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd to resume the services of the Nethravathi Express at the earliest.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty has already requested Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje to resume the train service.
