Vijapypura: The Muddebihala Police have finally succeeded in arresting three persons who were accused of murdering a woman, 11 years ago.
The police have arrested physical director of MGVC College Muddebihala H G Patil, his brother S G Patil and car driver Umesh Kamalapur, a resident of Tangadagi village.
As per reports, H G Patil was married to Priyanka aka Daneshwari Mamadapura in the year 2008 in Vijayapura district. From then onwards, Patil was doubting his wife was involved in an extramarital affair. Patil’s doubts increased as days passed by. On July 24, 2011, Patil and Daneshwari had been on a pilgrimage at Srisaila Mallikarjuna Temple located in Andhra Pradesh. On the way back, Patil had strangulated his wife to death with a wire and had thrown her body in a forest.
Following this, Patil and the other two accused filed a missing complaint with the police. After a few days, Srisailam Police filed a case on finding the anonymous body. In the meantime, Dhaneshwari’s father Basavaraj Mamadapura had also filed a complaint, based on which the investigation had begun.
Currently, a team of police led by Muddebihala CPI Anand Waghmode is investigating the matter.
