B’luru: Police arrest ex-corporator’s husband Ayub’s murderer

Chamarajpet police on Sunday arrested the accused in the murder of Ayub Khan, 48, a real estate businessman and husband of ex-corporator of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.

The arrested identified as Mateen Khan works as a car dealer. During the questioning, Khan confessed to the crime.

He was produced before the court which remanded him to 10-day police custody.

Ayub’s wife Nazima Khanam in her complaint said that Mateen was vying for the post of president of the masjid (Khudadad masjid) in Tippu Nagar which was being held by Ayub for the last 15 years.
