Mangaluru: 65-year-old missing man found dead in Nethravati River

Mangaluru: A 65-year-old who went missing was found dead in the Netravati river near Adamkudru on Sunday, July 23.

The deceased has been identified as Vishwanatha (65), a resident of Beedu near Kannur check post. He was a retired bank employee.

On Saturday, July 23, he informed his family members that he will be going to the hospital to get his blood pressure tested.

When he did not return home his wife called on his mobile phone. The call was received by their relative Sarojini who said that Vishwanatha left his phone and wallet and went towards the river.

The family then registered a missing complaint at the nearby police station. On Sunday, Vishwanatha’s mortal remains were found in the Nethravati river.
