Bengaluru: State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has said that 10 people have been detained in relation to BJYM leader Praveen Nettaru’s murder case.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, after a high-level meeting with Chief Minister Basvaraj Bommai and Director General of Police Praveen Sood he said, “I’ve been briefed about all the details by DGP Praveen Sood. So far 10 people have been detained by the police. Karnataka Police have begun search ops in Kerala too. DGP Sood is already in contact with the Kerala Government and would conduct a joint operation”.

“Currently we have no plans of transferring the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). If required and if the police find it appropriate, we will transfer it to NIA. We will leave no stone unturned in nabbing the culprits”, he added.

Reacting to the questions on aggressive posts on social media and distress condemning the government over Praveen’s murder, he said, “It is common to see mixed emotions during such times”.
