Miscreants slit throat of woman, rob cash, jewellery

Hassan: In a shocking incident, a woman was robbed and then brutally murdered at her home in Hassan on Friday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Manjula (42), a resident of Lakshmipuram Layout.
It is said that the unidentified robbers barged into Manjula’s home with the intention to rob her of jewelry and other valuables.
They threatened her and asked for the locker keys. Once emptying the locker, they slit her throat and escaped.
The crime came to light after Manjula’s husband returned home from work and found her dead.
Meanwhile, the Pension Mohalla Police rushed to the spot and assessed the situation. Forensic experts and a dog squad team were deployed.
