ABVP activists detained for protesting outside residence & offices of BJP leaders

Bengaluru: Over 40 ABVP activists were detained by Karnataka Police for protesting outside residence and offices of BJP leaders, condemning BJP activist Praveen Nettaru’s murder.
The protesting ABVP activist tried to enter Home Minister Aragajnandra’s house and demanded his resignation.
The ABVP activists protesting outside Bengaluru MP Tejasvi Soorya’s office said that they have brought rose petals with them as the leader said that stone pelting should be done only if the Congress government is in power.
Protests were held in front of former Union Minister Sadananda Gowda’s house as well.
Praveen Nettar, a zilla BJP Yuva Morcha committee member, was hacked to death in front of his broiler shop in Bellare by three bike-borne people on Tuesday night.
A resident of Nettaru in Bellare in Dakshina Kannada district, he was murdered when he was heading home after closing his shop.
Following the killing, tension prevailed at several places in the Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday, with instances of stone-pelting and police lathicharge being reported.
The BJP and Sangh Parivar supporters had turned their angst against the state government accusing it of not standing up to protect the lives of Hindu workers.
