Kasargod: Two passengers on a train were injured after stones were hurled at trains at Eriyal and Cherangai of the district on Friday evening.
Miscreants pelted stones at Mangaluru-Kannur and Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram trains. Passengers told railway police that they saw five boys running away.
The district has witnessed stone pelting at trains for a long time now. Miscreants regularly target moving trains, before fleeing from the spot.
A few days ago, stones were found on railway tracks at Bandyodu Muttam of Kasargod district, Kotikulam near Bekal, and Pappinacherry of Kannur districts. They were removed from the tracks in time, averting a major tragedy.
