DK back-to-back killings: Arrested accused remanded to police custody

Mangaluru: The six persons arrested in connection with the Fazil murder case have been remanded to police custody.

The arrested are Suhas Shetty, Mohan alias Nepali Mohan, Giridhar, Abhishek, Srinivas, and Deekshith. Ajit Crasta the person, who had lent his car to the suspect, is already in police custody. The police arrested him on July 31.

It is said that Suhas, Mohan, and Abhishek killed Mahammed Fazil, a resident of Surathkal using lethal weapons while others helped them execute the plan.

The police are currently trying to find out from where the accused took another car to escape.

Fazil had been killed in full public view on the evening of July 28 while he had been shopping at Surathkal.

Praveen Nettaru case:

The police have so far arrested four persons in the murder case so far.

The police custody of Shafiq (27), arrested in the Praveen Nettaru murder case, has been extended by four days.

A 32-year-old Zilla Bharatiya Yuva Morcha committee member Praveen Nettaru was hacked to death by unidentified motorbike-borne assailants on July 26 night at Bellare in Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district. The brutal murder had sparked outrage in the area.
