Puttur: Teenager’s death due to fall – Father of the boy requests comprehensive probe

Puttur: Manohar Rai, the father of Sushan Rai who was killed after falling off a residential complex in Boluvaru, has filed a police complaint requesting a thorough inquiry into the death.
Meanwhile, the funeral of teenager Sushan Rai was held on the evening of August 6.
Sushan Rai, a class 9 student of Sudana Residential School, was critically injured after allegedly falling off the residential complex on the evening of August 5. He was rushed to a hospital in Puttur which referred him to a hospital in Mangaluru. He later died, without responding to treatment.
As there are several unknowns related to the death, the father of the deceased boy has requested a comprehensive probe. Based on the complaint, Puttur police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
As per the complaint, Sushant came home on an autorickshaw till Boluvaru and walk home from there. On August 5, the rickshaw had dropped him off at the usual spot, but instead of taking the road home, Sushan was seen moving towards the residential complex. It is yet unknown why he diverted towards the residential complex, and what exactly happened after he entered the complex.
Within a few moments after entering the building he was found injured on the ground, presumably from a fall.
