16-year-old boy drowning in Netravati River rescued

Bantwal: A teenager was rescued from drowning in the Netravati river on Tuesday, August 9.
The boy identified as Rakshan (16), a resident of Papettimaru of Barimar village had been to the Netravati shores for enjoying the Muharram holiday when the mishap took place.
A while later, he slipped and fell into the river, and began drowning. The locals with the help of firefighters immediately pulled him out of the water.
He was rushed to the nearby hospital and was later referred to Thumbay Hospital for advanced treatment.
