Katipalla: School asks students to remove rakhi threads; Triggers row

Katipalla: A school in Katipalla drew the ire of parents and hindu organisations after it allegedly asked students to remove Rakhi threads tied on their wrists.

The members of the Hindu organisation along with the parents of the students conducted a protest over the move.

The incident took place in a Christian school in Katipalla where the teachers made students remove the rakhi threads from their hands.

Enraged by the incident members of the Hindu organisations reached the school to conduct a protest and demanded action against the concerned. Police officials too arrived at the spot.

Following this, the school authorities apologized to the parents and the issue was resolved.
