Chikkamagaluru: Though the incessant rains have subsided in Chaikkamagaluru, its destructive effects are still being felt across the district.
In such an instance, the concrete road leading to Kemmangundi, a popular tourist spot, has developed huge cracks.
The road connecting Hebbe of Tarikere Taluk and Kemmannugundi has developed cracks and has subsided about 3 feet on the cliff side.
Locals alleged the authorities of neglecting their complaints about the cracks seen on the road. If no action is taken immediately, this may turn into a huge disaster as this road is frequented by tourists, they added.
