Madikeri: Man stabs college students at tourist spot; love affair suspected

Madikeri: ‎‎In a shocking incident, a man stabbed two college students at Kaveri Nisargadhama in Kushalnagar. on Saturday, August 13.

To the dismay of tourists gathered, the unidentified youth suddenly attacked the young male with a knife. The girl who tried to rescue her friend was also injured in the attack, eyewitnesses claimed.

It is suspected that a love affair might be the motive behind the crime. The gruesome incident was caught on CCTV.

Meanwhile, the assailant was detained by the locals and was later taken into police custody. A case has been registered at the Kushalnagar Police station. Sources said that the accused worked as a waiter in a hotel.‎

The victims of the attack have been identified as students of a government college in Kushalnagar. They have been rushed to the hospital.
