Mild tremors felt in Dakshina Kannada-Kodagu border area

Sullia: Tremors were felt in parts of areas bordering Kodagu-Dakshina Kannada districts on Sunday, August 1.  However, there was no damage reported.

The people of Kalmakaru, Mentekaje, Gulikana and Kallugundi regions of Sullia Taluk felt the tremors at around 6.30 pm.

The tremor was experienced along with huge sounds and people ran out of their houses fearing for their life.

The people who are already hit by landslides, floods, and continuous rainfall, are now panicking against the backdrop of repeated tremors.
