Youngster dies in bike accident while returning from ‘Agnipath’ rally

Periyapatna: A young man was killed in a bike accident while returning from the “Agnipath” rally on Tuesday, August 16.

The deceased has been identified as Vinay Gowda (20).

The accident occurred at Ragimarur, when Vinay and his friend were returning after attending an ‘Agnipath’ recruitment rally in Hassan. The bike on which Vinay was riding pillion lost control and rammed into an electric pole.

Due to the impact, Vinay was killed on the spot, whereas his friend suffered injuries to his leg.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Konanur Police Station.
