Speed up the process of linking voter ID with Aadhar card: DC to officials

Mangaluru: Deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Rajendra K V instructed the officials to speed up the process of linking EPIC (Elector’s Photo Identity Card) with Aadhar card.

Rajendra said, ” Union and state Election Commission has directed the citizens to link their voter ID cards with Aadhar cards to stop multiple entries in electoral rolls and make them error-free. I have ordered the concerned officials to prepare a presentation and explain the process to the staff. Also, the staff must be strictly instructed to speed up the process. If not,  suitable action will be taken against them.”

Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat CEO Dr Kumar instructed the officers to hold a registration campaign to link EPIC with Aadhaar card on August 21.  He added that all BLOs must be present at poll booths from 10 am to 5 pm.
