Chamarajanagar: The police arrested two persons for allegedly trying to sell tiger nails at the Dr. B R Ambedkar Circle, here on Thursday, August 18.
The arrested are Farhad Ur Rehman (33) and Yasir Arafat (19), residents of K P Mohalla.
On receiving credible information, Cyber Police Station Inspector Mahadev Shetty, Sub Inspector Madesh, and staff, disguised as customers, reached the spot and arrested the duo.
The police recovered eight tiger nails worth Rs. 3.50 lakhs.
Meanwhile, the tiger nails have been handed over to the Chamarajanagar forest zonal officer.
