Bengaluru: Couple kills child, commits suicide after husband diagnosed with cancer

Bengaluru: A couple committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan after killing their child in Bengaluru after the husband was diagnosed with throat cancer.

The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Kumar (44), Jyoti (29) and Nandish Gowda (9), residents of SBI Layout, Chunchanakatte of Konanakunte.

Mahesh recently underwent hernia surgery and visited a doctor a couple of days ago after he experienced stomach pain.  He underwent a lot of tests on the advice of doctors and was diagnosed with cancer.

Following this, the couple committed suicide by hanging themselves after poisoning their son. They left behind a suicide note listing Mahesh’s health and financial distress as the reason for their suicide.
