Kaup: Gold ornaments, cash stolen from apartment; Two arrested

Kaup: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the theft case at Muloor Sri Sai Varcher building.

The arrested accused have been identified as Wajid J (25), a native of Bajpe and Shahnaz (32), resident of Kadiyali in Udupi.

The duo is accused of stealing gold ornaments and cash from an apartment in Kaup.

The theft occurred on August 8 when the owner of the flat Arjoo Sarfraz had gone to her sister’s house in Udupi.

When she returned she found that the gold ornaments worth Rs 1.98 lac kept in the drawer were missing.

A case was registered at the nearby police station. Following this, the accused were arrested by the cops.
