Mangaluru: The rural police shot at an accused who was wanted in an attempt to murder a case, as he allegedly tried to escape after attacking a policeman on Monday, August 22 near Kambala village during a spot investigation.
The accused is Mista alias Mohd Mushtaaq (26) years, he was arrested for an attempt to murder that took place on August 19. The injured policeman is PSI Vinayaka Bhavikatti of the rural police station.
The incident took place when the police had taken Mushtaaq to the scene of the crime for spot mahazar, recovery of vehicle, and murder weapon.
