Mangaluru: The elections for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) and the four standing committees will be held on September 9.
Commissioner of MCC Akshy Sridhar informed about this in his press release.
The elections will be held at the Mangala Auditorium of MCC on Friday, September 9, at 12 PM.
Although the election for Mayor and Deputy Mayor post for the 23rd term of MCC was scheduled on March 2, 2021, it was postponed in the wake of Court orders.
In a total of 60 seats, BJP holds 44, Congress – 14, and SDPI – 2.
