In a bizarre incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district, a man has been living on an 80-feet-tall palm tree for the last month as he was fed up with the marital disputes.
The 42-year-old Ram Pravesh was reportedly upset over the differences he had been having with his wife for the last six months. Pravesh alleged that his wife had also physically assaulted him. He thus decided to start living on an 80-feet-tall palm tree. For the last month, he has been living on the tree.
Despite several appeals from the villagers, Pravesh refused to come down from the tree. A few of the villagers residing nearby complained that their privacy is being violated as Pravesh can easily see what they are doing in their residences from atop the tree. They added that Pravesh comes down from the tree during night hours and climbs back to the tree after defecating.
Meanwhile, his family ensures that he gets food and water by tying the same to a rope hung from the tree which Pravesh then pulls from above.
