Bengaluru: As heavy rains continue to batter Bengaluru and Southern Karnataka region, the water treatment plant at TK Halli of Mandya district has partially submerged in water on Monday, September 5.

Due to this, it is likely to affect the supply of water to Bengaluru.

More than half of Bengaluru’s population depends on water supplies from this water treatment plant.

The Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) said that two of its plants have been inundated, resulting in a halt in water treatment.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that he would visit the plant today at noon and discuss measures to be taken with the concerned officials.
