Praveen Nettaru murder case: NIA raids at over 30 places

Puttur: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), investigating the Praveen Nettaru murder case raided as many as 30 locations in Puttur and Sullia on Tuesday early morning.
Nettaru, a BJP Yuva Morcha leader had been hacked to death by bike-borne miscreants on July 26 night. The incident had led to communal tensions in the district.
The NIA sleuths along with Karnataka police conducted raids at the premises of relatives of those accused of Nettaru’s murder and those who aided the accused.
The NIA had taken into custody five accused in the case — Naufal (28), Sainul Abid (22), Mohammed Syed (32), Abdul Basheer (29) and Riyaz (27) for interrogations.
